- Secondary school students in Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk counties in Ontario are eligible to enter the Holy Trinity Film Festival.
- Both group and individual entries are welcomed. Permission forms must be completed by all participants under 18 years of age. Each group member under 18 also must have signed permission forms.
- A panel of judges selected by the Holy Trinity Film Festival will award the following prizes in each category: First prize - $500; Second Prize - $300 and Third Prize - $100.
- The People's Choice Award of $100 will be awarded to the film that wins the vote by the audience at the festival gala.
- The Christian Values prize of $100 will be awarded to the film that best exemplifies Christian values.
- The determination of the judges is final.
- The Holy Trinity Film Festival reserves the right to cancel categories if there is insufficient response. Festival organizers, in conjunction with the judges, may reallocate prize money to different categories, if deemed necessary. Participants will be notified should a cancellation occur.
- Films must be no longer than five minutes and no shorter than two minutes. To ensure that your film is not cut short during the screening, we recommend inserting 7 seconds of solid black before and after your film. This solid black screen will not be counted as part of the time requirements
- Films should be suitable for family audiences. Inappropriate actions, gestures or language are not permitted and can be grounds for disqualification. This includes: hidden messages, sexist content, gratuitous violence and content that supports alcohol or drugs.
- Videos produced must not discriminate against or demean a person or group.
- Safety of all participants in the video must be maintained. No person or group of people is to be put in danger at any time during the production of the film.
- Judges will have the right to determine what is deemed to be inappropriate. Their say is final.
- Music used in the films must be from a legal source. Any audio used in the films must not give rise to any claims for infringement or violation of copyright, trademark or any other right of any third party or to any claims for libel, defamation, violation of the right of privacy, or celebrity, or any contract right or other right of any individual, corporation or other entity or violate any laws. Participants obtaining permission to use copyrighted music must submit the written release with their entry.
- Holy Trinity Catholic High School retains copyright to videos submitted. Entries will not be returned. Please make your own copies before submitting.
